1. The surface of grass-weave wallpaper is handcrafted from natural materials. Due to the inherent characteristics of these materials, slight color variations may occur-even within the same production batch-which is considered a normal phenomenon.
2. Once stained, contaminants on the surface are generally impossible to remove. Therefore, it is recommended that you order an additional 1–2 strips beyond your exact requirements to allow for adjustments or replacements during installation.
3. For grass-weave wallpapers with a thinner paper backing, the underlying wall surface should be carefully inspected prior to installation to ensure the color of the clear varnish is uniform; this prevents the wall color from showing through the wallpaper (known as "bleed-through").
4. Since grass-weave wallpaper is handcrafted from natural materials, it cannot be pattern-matched; consequently, perfect alignment at the seams is not possible. This is considered a normal characteristic of the product. Prior to installation, the installer should explain this to the client; after hanging 2–3 strips, the installer should seek the client's confirmation and approval before proceeding with the remainder of the installation.
5. Grass-weave wallpaper requires a strong adhesive for installation; the use of a specialized adhesive formulated specifically for grass-weave products is recommended. After applying adhesive to the seams, use a specialized soft pressure roller to gently press the edges until they are firmly bonded, then use a dry towel or sponge to carefully absorb any small amounts of excess adhesive that may have squeezed out.
6. Grass-weave wallpaper cannot be scrubbed or wiped clean. If adhesive squeezes out onto the seams, it cannot be removed and will result in unsightly "glossy streaks" on the wallpaper surface. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use a machine applicator for adhesive application and to utilize protective masking tape to prevent any adhesive from spilling onto the visible surface of the wallpaper.
7. During installation, grass-weave wallpaper should be carefully smoothed out from top to bottom. Because the natural straw fibers on the surface and the paper backing have different rates of shrinkage, air bubbles or wrinkles may frequently occur; these must be patiently and thoroughly smoothed out.
8. For 48 hours following the installation of grass-weave wallpaper, do not open doors or windows for ventilation. Homeowners are advised to familiarize themselves thoroughly with these maintenance and care guidelines.
