Textilene is a specialized textile successfully developed in 1995 by Zhang Miaofu from mainland China. It is produced using shuttleless weaving technology and features a core-sheath composite yarn composed of 70% PVC and 30% high-tenacity polyester yarn. The finished product possesses characteristics such as water resistance, UV resistance, and abrasion resistance, and is primarily utilized in fields such as outdoor furniture, sun-shading curtains, and agricultural protection. The material is woven on flexible rapier looms; the production process involves stages such as intelligent warping, eco-friendly coloring, and heat setting, resulting in a mesh structure that combines both breathability and durability.
As a specialized textile produced via shuttleless weaving, Textilene employs a composite yarn with a unique sheathing structure-specifically, a PVC/PET core-sheath yarn. The core consists of high-tenacity industrial polyester filaments, while the sheath is composed of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material known for its resistance to aging and UV radiation. The polyester filaments are sheathed and drawn, then cooled to form a composite yarn with a smooth surface that is waterproof, oil-resistant, non-toxic, and cool to the touch. The warp yarns are prepared onto a weaver's beam using an intelligent warping machine; requiring no sizing treatment, they are woven directly into a mesh fabric on flexible rapier looms and subsequently finished into final products.
Material Composition: 70% PVC, 30% High-Tenacity Polyester Yarn. Production Process: 1. Eco-friendly coloring of virgin PVC resin. 2. Sheathing of high-tenacity polyester yarn with the colored PVC. 3. Winding and preparation of warp yarns. 4. Weaving on looms. 5. Fabric finishing and heat-setting treatment to complete the mesh fabric production. 6. Processing workshop operations: cutting to size, sewing, and assembly to create various finished products-such as beach chairs, sun-shading curtains, protective fencing for gardening, construction, and agriculture, decorative furnishings, placemats, dinner plate mats, coasters, tablecloths, rugs, tarpaulins, etc.
It boasts numerous advantages, including vibrant, fade-resistant colors; high tensile strength; resistance to water, oil, and UV radiation; resistance to aging, abrasion, rot, and chemicals; non-toxicity; a smooth, cool surface texture; excellent breathability; and a long service life. The perfect combination of these two materials ensures that Textilene products...
